Vote for us at www.refresheverything.ca/amhl The Alaskan Malamute HELP League (AMHL) is a Canada-wide registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of Malamutes. AMHL works with shelters, rescues and the public to provide education, information, help finding lost/stolen dogs, assistance placing Malamutes and providing hands-on rescue. Through education comes growth and change! As a national organization the AMHL is able to positively impact the health and welfare of Alaskan Malamutes across Canada The benefits are many:
* Increase awareness of the unique nature of Malamutes and responsible ownership thus reducing the number of ‘impulse’ dog purchases and improved Alaskan Malamute/owner relationships
* Assist owners to work through issues with their Alaskan Malamute thus improving their lives and reducing the numbers of dogs killed, abandoned or given to shelters or rescues
* Assist shelters and rescues to secure permanent homes for Malamutes
* Increase awareness of rescues and the importance of care and rehabilitation to reduce the number of dogs abandoned or killed
* Provide foster care, rehabilitation and placement for Malamutes across Canada
* Support for foster homes, including food, educational resources and veterinary care
* Palliative foster care for older abandoned dogs with no chance of adoption * Save lives!
